This Autoclave training will cover:

• autoclave operation
• safety guidelines
• autoclavable materials
• mandatory documentation
• proper handling
• labeling
• transportation of biohazardous waste

Target Audience

This training is recommended for new Lab Managers or Principal Investigators, anyone who has no previous autoclave experience, anyone who has not used this model of autoclave before or anyone who wants a refresher course.

Schedule

Training is scheduled as needed per facility or lab. Generally, due to room-size limitation, economic reasons, and to minimize disruption/inconvenience to researchers, EH&S-led training sessions are scheduled when 3-6 individuals request training.

Duration

Sessions are conducted in person at the autoclave and last ~60 minutes, depending on the experience level of attendees.
