The University of Florida is required by the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991 to conduct drug tests and physical examinations on employees who are required to possess an A, B, or C commercial driver license (CDL) in order to perform the duties of their jobs. Health Assessment Requirements
The preplacement health assessment for those requiring an A, B, or C commercial driver license includes a physical examination that meets Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and drug testing.
- The department:
- Identifies this job duty in myUFL position information, or completes the online INOP Form based on supervisor input.
- Submits the Payment Authorization Form.
- Calls the UF OCCMED Clinic at (352) 294-5700 to schedule the DOT physical exam and drug screening.
