Will the individual be involved with BSL-3/ABSL-3/ACL-3 research?
The University of Florida’s BioPath: Biohazards Medical Monitoring Program provides occupational health oversight for employees, students, visitors, and volunteers for potential exposure to high-risk biological agents. Participation is required for all individuals working in a BSL-3/ABSL-3/ACL-3 laboratory. Full program details are available on the UF EH&S BioPath Program page.
Health Assessment Requirements
The preplacement health assessment for BioPath consists of authorization by EH&S and a review by the Occupational Medicine Clinic of the individual’s completed BioPath Medical Assessment Questionnaire, which covers the research involved and health history.
- The department:
- Completes the BioPath Authorization Form and submits it via email to bso@ehs.ufl.edu for approval. Once approved, EH&S forwards it to the OCCMED Clinic.
- Identifies this job duty in myUFL position information, or completes the online INOP Form for Individuals Not on Positions.
