Hazardous Waste Monthly Self Audit
UF Environmental Health & Safety requires labs to complete the Monthly Self Audit form in order to minimize citations and potential fines by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FL DEP). Each lab’s Hazardous Waste Manager is required to document the condition of the area where the lab is storing their hazardous chemical wastes, the condition of the containers and other required information.
The Self Audit form allows the lab to record this information monthly. This information must be kept available in the lab for review by EPA, DEP or EH&S inspectors.
