Biological materials shipped/transported locally, domestically & internationally are subject to a number of regulations, requirements & policies. Fines and penalties can be imposed against the University and individuals who fail to comply with the applicable rules. This training is aimed at ensuring the compliance and safety of all those involved in shipping. All shippers of biological material, dry ice, or preservatives must be retrained every 2 years or when regulations change in accordance with regulations.
