Online Training Courses

BEC training sessions are now available online in myUFL. Each of these courses contains video recordings of the original training sessions, along with the PowerPoint slides available for download from course page. Most of the sessions last less than an hour. The courses currently available:

  • Bomb Threat Guidelines (presented by UFPD)

  • Fire Safety (presented by Environmental Health & Safety)

  • Local Weather Hazards (presented by the National Weather Service-Jacksonville)

  • BEC Introduction (presented by Environmental Health & Safety)

 

Access to Online BEC Training

  1. Login to myUFL
  2. Use the Main Menu drop down and click My Self Service
  3. Click Training and Development
  4. Click Request Training Enrollment
  5. Click Search by Course Name and enter BEC
  6. Click Search button
  7. Click the View Available Sessions
  8. Click the Session Number to register
  9. Click the URL displayed and a new window will open to e-Learning
  10. Use the e-Learning workspace to print course handouts and begin the course

NOAA Weather Radio

Each department is responsible for placing NOAA Weather Radios in their buildings when reception is available. Units are available locally or in the MyUFL Marketplace. New Weather Radios purchased should carry the Public Alert logo
