UF encourages all students to practice good hygiene and to stay home when experiencing flu-like illness.  If you are sick with flu-like illness, CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever (100°F) is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. (Your fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine.) This does not apply to those taking care of severly immunocompromised patients in which case 7 days or relocation of duties would be indicated.

Students should consider having their own digital thermometer to monitor their temperature.

Call your primary health-care provider if you experience flu-like symptoms.  If you need medical treatment, the Student Health Care Center is available to serve all students.
