Office of Risk Management - Staff


Glenn Ketcham, CIH, is the University Risk Manager. He has a Master's Degree is in Environmental Engineering/Health Physics from the University of Florida and has been certified in Industrial Hygiene comprehensive practice for over 18 years.  He has over 24 years of diverse practical health and safety experience with UF, the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and the federal government.  His areas of expertise include: general liability management/public safety, worker health and safety, emergency preparedness and responseergonomics, accident investigation, and property loss prevention.

Kenneth Allen is the University’s Emergency Management Coordinator. He has a Masters of Public Administration Degree from the University of Alabama and holds the designation of Florida Professional Emergency Manager (FPEM). He is responsible for UF’s Emergency Management Plan and coordination of all phases of the University’s emergency management program. Before joining the University, he served as Emergency Management Coordinator for the Alachua County Division of Emergency Management.

Lori Hales is the University's Insurance Coordinator.  She is responsible for maintaining UF's insurance policies (excluding Workers' Compensation and Health) and serving as the university liaison with our insurers on all matters. She works with clients university-wide on issues related to property loss and liability. Lori graduated from Florida Sate University (FSU) and before joining UF, she served as the Workers' Compensation Coordinator and Risk Manager for FSU.

Grace Dixon is EH&S' coordinator for UF’s Occupational Medicine Program.  This includes both preplacement health assessment programs for new hires as well as periodic medical monitoring programs for current employees.  She works closely with UF department representatives, Human Resources Services and the Student Health Care Center staff to ensure employee enrollment in appropriate UF programs.  These programs (such as the Animal Contact Program) cover work in certain known risk situations governed by federal, state or local standards. She also assists individuals with the UF Smoking Policy.

Lea-An Steiner  is the Senior Health Educator. She has over 20 years experience providing training in university, medical and military settings. Lea-An works with subject matter experts in the planning, development, and delivery of a wide variety of health, safety and emergency preparedness training. In addition, she prepares web based safety training materials and serves as departmental backup for the Occupational Medicine program.

Todd Morrone is the University’s Risk Management and Ergonomics Coordinator.  He has a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Florida, and is an Outreach Trainer for OSHA 500 Construction Safety standards.  He is responsible for the coordination of Risk Management’s Ergonomics program, and the identification and investigation of general safety hazards at the University.  Before joining the Risk Management office, he served for five years as the Coordinator for Residential Safety and Security Programs for the Department of Housing and Residence Education at the University of Florida.

Vanessa Fayo, Program Assistant, has been with UF since 1996. She provides administrative support for both the industrial hygiene and risk management programs. Vanessa coordinates the 15-Passenger Van Safety training classes and drivers license checks and authorized driver files. She assists with insurance report preparation and maintains various health and safety databases in addition to providing general support to the groups and their customers.
