STATE AND FEDERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

STATE:

The State of Florida is an agreement  state whose regulatory body is the Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control.  The central regulations governing the use of radioactive materials and radiation producing devices are Florida Administrative Code Chapter 64E-5 "Control of Radiation Hazard Regulations"

 

FEDERAL:

Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations Part 19- "Notices, Instructions, and Reports to Workers; Inspections:, Part 20- "Standards for Protection Against Radiation: and Part 35- "Medical Use of Byproduct Material" are the central regulations governing use of radioactive materials, as required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for programs in non-agreement states.
