
Effective June 18, 2004, the Health Assessment Management System (commonly known as HAMS) moved to the PeopleSoft Human Resources group. HAMS at the Northeast Regional Data Center (NERDC) UF Admin Applications (NERCICS) ended June 17.
There are four areas in PeopleSoft where you see references to the HAMS.
1. Position Management - During the add/update a position and vacancy posting processes, the UF Hr Position Dta panel lists the job duties that require a health assessment. Used when a department adds or updates position information, the navigation is Organizational Development, Position Management, Maintain Positions/Budgets, Add/Update Position Info.
2. Requisition/Recruiting - During the recruiting process, the marketing statement includes special posting requirements if a health assessment is required. This appears when a department uses eRecruit to advertise a vacancy. The navigation is Manager Self Service, Manager Home, Recruiting Activities Home, Job Requisition.
3. Hiring - During the hire process, the Employee Checklist Items panel notes the action items required before the selected candidate begins work. Included on this checklist is the “Health Assessment required” statement if any of the checkboxes for the HAMS is checked in the Position Management. Navigation is Workforce Administration, Personal Information, Person Checklist.
4. Exam Results - After a job offer has been made, for those positions that require a health assessment, the Physical Exam panel shows exam date and clearance status. Navigation is Workforce Monitoring, Health & Safety, Record Medical Exam Results, Physical Exam.
